- Am I able to customize a fortune?
- If you are ordering our Fantastic "Giant" Gourmet Cookie, we are happy to do a custom fortune for you inside that cookie and whatever combo of chocolate and toppings that you would like. The "Minis" come with a general "good fortune" inside unless you are doing an order of 10 or more.During the order process, you will be asked if you would like to write your own fortune. If you don't want a customized fortune a general "good fortune" will be placed inside for you.
- Can I order online?
- Absolutely. We are linked with Volusion,a secure site for all credit card orders. We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal.
- Do you have a retail store?
- We have just opened our first retail store. It is located right next to our new production facility in Rollinsford New Hampshire. We will always have our Mini's & Dippers available for you to purchase right from our store. If you are interested in our Giant fortune cookies with custom messages inside, it is best to call in your order first as they are baked to order and require a little notice.
- How do I place a custom order?
- Custom orders can be placed by calling 603-617-3810. We require shipping information and a 25% deposit at the time the order is placed to reserve space on our production schedule. Final counts are not required until 3 weeks before the delivery date at which time an additional 25% would be due. The final 50% is charged when your order ships, is picked up or delivered.
- How do you handle shipping?
- We use FedEx Ground and USPS to ship orders.
The rates are automatically calculated when you place your order.
Express delivery is only available by special request.If you would like to receive your order on or by a specific date, you may ask to have it expedited with a guarantee for an additional fee. Please call us for those rates.
We ship orders Monday through Thursday only. We do not ship on Fridays.
Regular ground service with FedEx and USPS will take from 1 to 4 business days to reach addresses east of the Mississippi. Orders with addresses in the Central & Western U.S. will take up to 5 business days to arrive. Expedited shipping is available by request. Please call us for those rates. - How do you handle warm weather shipping?
- Due to the perishable nature of our products, the following warm weather shipping policies are applicable during May 15th- October 15th and/or to warm weather destinations as applicable throughout the year (temperatures greater than 80 degrees).
•Due to heat we do not have packages in transit over the weekend.-Therefore we do not ship on Fridays.This applies to all Ground shipping.
•We are able to ship our cookies to warm weather areas (or during periods of warm weather) if the product is in transit for two days or less and is shipped with ice packs. There will be an additional charge of $2.00 per box shipped with ice packs. This also requires any area outside of New England to be shipped USPS Express Mail overnight. We cannot be held responsible if this shipping option is not selected during checkout.
•We are not able to ship when temperatures reach 90 degrees and above - Your order will be held and you will be contacted with a ship date. This applies both to the destination of your package, or the temperature at our production facility.
•We recommend to ship your order to an office or place of business where someone can receive the delivery directly.
If your order is a gift, it is your responsibility to alert the recipient to expect a perishable (and delicious!) delivery.
We cannot guarantee any orders that are not recieved at time of 1st delivery or are left outside in the heat. We are not responsible for packages left unattended outdoors upon delivery.
- How Eco-friendly are you?
- Well, the cookie itself is eaten... but beyond that we purchase and use environmentally friendly products and packaging whenever possible. All of our packaging, the box, ribbon, tissue paper and even the cellophane bags that protect your cookie are one or more of the following: recycled materials, post-consumer recycled, biodegradable, can be reused or repurposed, or comes from suppliers that utilize greener energy sources. We’ll update this FAQ whenever possible as we continue to grow our green efforts but if you have any questions you can contact us at 603-617-3810
- How long are your cookies fresh for?
- Our cookies are heat sealed in a cello wrap and are absoultely crispy and delicious for at least eight -ten weeks if they remain in their original packaging and are properly stored. We recommend keeping them in a cool, dry place when not being eaten.
- How long does it take for my cookies to arrive?
- With the exception of a few of our most popular cookies, Fantastic Fortunes Gourmet Cookies are made to order. It generally takes up to 2 business days to produce the cookies and between 1 to 5 business days for shipping.
We ship orders Monday through Thurday. We do not ship on Friday. For most residential deliveries, Fantastic Fortunes Gourmet Cookies will ship Fedex Ground or USPS Priority Mail. Regular ground service will take from 1 to 4 business days to reach addresses east of the Mississippi. Orders with addresses in the Central & Western U.S. will take up to 5 business days to arrive. Expedited shipping is available by request.Please call us for a shipping estimate for overnight/express shipping.
For Special Orders and Business Delvieries, our cookies are shipped Fedex Ground and will arrive in approximately 1-5 business days from the shipment date depending on their destination. We are able to track Fedex Ground packages.
- I don't need my order for a couple of months. When should I call you?
- Even if you aren't sure of the final quantity, give us a call so we can know your order is coming in. We want to get you on our production calendar as soon as possible. We don't bake and ship your cookies until as close to your event as possible, but the more time we have to plan your order the better.
- Our Guarantee
- Our simple guarantee: At Fantastic Fortunes our goal is to make your day, not upset it; we want you to be satisfied. If you are not satisfied with our products, just tell us why and we will gladly credit you the cost of the product (shipping and handling charges will not be refunded). Please note that you need to contact us with any problems within 24 hours of receipt of your order.
- What about Nuts?
- Fantastic Fortunes Gourmet Cookie batter does contain Pure Almond extract. Fantastic Fortunes Gourmet Cookies are made in a commercial kitchen that does use almonds. Not peanuts.
- What if I want to cancel my order?
- Order cancellation will result in the loss of your deposit.
- What if my cookies do not arrive?
- You will be notified by email, if we are provided with an incorrect address or the package is refused by the recipient and returned to us. Fantastic Fortunes Gourmet Cookies will not refund your money for incorrect shipping information or packages refused by recipients. We will ship a new cookie at half the cost, but shipping will be charged at full price. If Fantastic Fortunes Gourmet Cookies put an incorrect address on the box, we will refund your purchase, or ship a new package at no charge to you.
